    Thanks for the info on transplant!
    I am hoping that the mounting pattern will pretty close, but what the hey, if it isn't, me and a buddy will get the old create a mount (1/2 drive drill) and give it a go.

    Thanks to both of you for the reply. I have read some of the other questions posted and you guys seem to be right on, so thanks.

    Transplant successful!! Bolt patterns on sears tractor identical. Had to splice 2 wires by the 6 plug and away we went. It's surging, but that is the carb, so it's time for the clean job or rebuild. A few minor adjustments to the deck and " a cutting we will go".
