    Auto salesman salary?
    I am trying to find out first hand the average salary for an auto salesman, currently employed with a major bank but thoroughly disgusted and unhappy with job and industry. Interested in different industry where I am an asset to a company

    First, I moved this from the Introductions forum, which is clearly marked as not a place to ask questions.

    Second, most auto salesman work on commission, not straight salary.

    If you're good you can make well into six figures. If you're bad you won't even be able to buy lunch.

    The previous posts are true and sensible. Heed them! Also, you should pick a product that you're comfortable with. I sold Hondas for my last 18 years, and feel proud to sell them. There are other carlines I'd be embarrassed to sell! You should be able to feel pride in whatever you sell...
