My son and his girlfriend renting from me.
Hi, I am trying to find out of my son paid half the rent for April and is still in the process of moving in, can I have them evicted? They have no lease, etc just word, it has already been a nightmare, and I need her to leave asap, they say their not leaving since they already paid my landlord half the rent.. I don't have it to give back now? I am in Phila PA, I can't find any laws etc as to how long someone has to live in a residence before it becomes their "residence"? Its been a week... thanks!

    Hello n:

If you're not the landord, it doesn't matter how long they've lived there. YOU can't evict them...

IF, on the other hand, YOU are the tenant on the lease and your son is your tenant/roommate, then you can evict him with 30 days notice.
