Differentials on a 1996 grande marquis
I have a 1996 grande marquis that the rear tires won't go forward but it will go backwards and I was told that I needed to get new differentials but to save money I can take off my own differentials at a salvage yard but I don't know how can someone tell me how to save money.

Call around to salvage yards in your area. Tell them what you're driving and what you need. They can frequently tell you if they have anything available that will fit your car.

Are you actually prepared to remove the diff from a car in the junkyard? That's a big job, often requiring air tool and a compressor. Not to mention the weight of the thing!
