    Part-Year Resident Form
Hello, I'm filing taxes via Turbo Tax and is now having difficulty filling out the Part -Year Resident Form. I lived in MD from 01/08 to 10/09 and then moved to PA. I'm still working in MD and started paying PA taxes 10/09. The form asks for Non-MD losses and Adjustments and Non-MD income. I've read it over and over again and still don't quite understand how to answer the question... Is their anyone that can be at some assistance. I would greatly appreciate it!!

I assume that you meant to say you moved to PA in 10/08, not 10/09, right? Also, are you referring to a form for the MD income tax? You should be completing Form 502 - which specific line are you referring to? The objective of the form is to determine what portion of the total income you reported on your federal tax return is attributable to the time you lived in MD (and hence subject to MD tax) versus the time you lived in PA (and hence not taxable ny MD). So non-MD losses and income would be any losses you took or income you made after you moved out of state.
