    Collecting a debt
    I have a corporation in NYS can a personal judgement be collected againts my corp .
    I also have a joint account with a minor can thi s account be seized the account has the minors social security number.

    Hello lu:

    No on your corp. Yes on your joint account. If, however, you receive a salary from your corp, it can be garnisheed.

    Your shares in the corporation can be taken to satisfy a personal judgment against you. How prescisely this can be done can best be answered by someone (such as JudyKayTee, for example) more familiar with NY collections procedures.
