Could last pregnancy affect this one?
Hi everyone, just a few questions to ask. I found out I am pregnant again on Sunday. This will be my 2nd child. I am very excited about it but worried at the same time. When I had my previous child I had a few problems in labour and lost a lot of blood. I had to have a blood transfusion and take iron tablets. Could this affect this pregnancy? I am worried I that something may not be right and am scared it could affect my unborn child.

Congrats... :) It can depend on what the problem was, but generally, if it was something that came up just during the labour, and was sorted out at that time, it won't effect subsequent pregnancies.

Odds are, your midwife may suggest staying on the iron tablets. This is fairly common during pregnancy anyway however as many women will have an increased need for iron supplementation at this time.
