    Bathroom Shower Wall!
    Greetings:

I am installing a Swain stone shower base and wall kit. The instructions state that the walls can be glued directly over green board rather then cement board. Has anyone had good luck with such a installation? Do you think any special steps should be taken with a vapor barrier behind said green board?

    Thank you in advance!

Most shower enclosures need Wonderboard, Hardiebacker board or cement board since they are a wet area. However, your kits covers the entire wet area and can be glued to greenboard.

Yes, with GB, only use unfaced insulation and if there is already faced insulation in your walls, slice through the facing several times rendering the vapor barrier useless.

Bathroom Wall Tile [ 2 Answers ]

I am tiling my bathroom walls with a ceramic tile. I want to do a diamond pattern. When I cut the pieces on a 45 degree angle, the tile chips off when I get close to the opposite corner. I don't get a clean cut from end to end. What is the secret to getting a nice end to end cut?
