    Required reading in middle school


    There was this book/movie I was required to read/watch in, like, 8th grade. I can remember much about the book, but there are a few things I remember about the movie and for the life of me I cannot figure out what it was called... maybe someone can help me. Here are the very few things I remember about it: It was about a black family, possibly slaves and they lived in a haunted house. That's all I can remember. Can anyone help me? Thanks!
