    Paternity laws.can a man request a test after a year
    My husband and I separated a while ago and I was with another man and got pregnant my husband and I got back togeather at the beginning of that pregnancy and the other man lives in another state. We have not heard from him since we got back togeather now my baby is almost one and the man now wants a paternity test. My husbands name is on the birth certificate and is daddy to our baby is there anything this other man can do?

    Its going to depend on the state that you live in.

    In some states no, but in others yes, he can get a DNA test ordered in court, and if proven to be the father he can get visitation and have his name put on the birth certificate
