Forgotten Birthday?
I just recently had my birthday... my family took me out and my boyfriend saw me that day too. He gave me my presents and we hung out for a little
Here's the thing, my birthay was last week and he coldnt take me out last weekend because he was working, however, he said he has something in mind that he wants t take me somewhere. ]
This weekend clearly we are not doing anything concerning my birthday, and I'm kind of upset seeing that I took him out for his birthday to a really nice place. I saved money for that dinner too.
Am I just being ridicolous and should shut up or do I bring it up to him? If so how?

So in the big picture how does this pettiness fit in?
I would let it go, but then again I would have already forgotten about it.

I don't think this is really anything to worry about. Maybe next year plan a vacation for both your birthdays.

I haven't celebrated my Birthday in 15 years (well except my 21st). Don't make to big of a deal out if it. He got you a gift. That is much more then some people are getting in this economy.

Maybe it's a surprise...
He already got you a present and hung out with you, so I wouldn't put too much weight on it.

I did not think it was a big deal until a friend of mine brought it up and then it made me think.

It depends how important your birthday is to you. If it's important, then you should let him know.
You should probably let it go for this year, but at least he will know for next year.

Yes, I think your making too much of a big deal. I could see if he didn't remember your birthday or got you nothing but you receive gifts and his time by him hanging out with you, what more do you want. A dinner? A cruise? What?
I notice guys don't make a big deal out of things but us female do. When my birthday is coming around I have to remind my fiancé but you would think that is bad but it isn't because he can't even remember his own cell phone number. One time he misplaced his phone and I told him to call it. Then he asked "what's my number?"
So don't make a mountain out of a mohill.

Don't worry about it; remind him when it comes around next year. Being forgetful myself I often need reminded about things.

Just to go along with what liz said, I find that women definitely put WAY too much emphasis on remembering important dates. From a guys perspective, I can't remember crap. Heck, if I didn't drive to my house everyday, I would probably forget how to get there.
I'm very absent minded. It would be nice if my future partners would give me a friendly, non-confrontational, reminder about an important date a week ahead of time...

I give reminders all the time. My partner was upfront about his inability to remember birthdays and important events. So for the first year I used to run pop quizzes every so often to help him remember the dates I wanted him to remember. Five years later, he remembers my birthday, neither of the children's or our anniversary. So I still remind prior to the upcoming event.

Are you into sports? If so, I bet you can remember anything pertaining to that. I know my fiancé can.

I am pretty sure my dad has no idea how old I am. I am sure though if you asked him he would be +/- 5 years of my actual age. But to be fair to him I can never remember what day his B-day is I think may 20th or the 16th :P

I'm not brain dead or anything. Its just that every once in a while I forget things because of all of the stuff going on in my life. Everyone forgets things, but they shouldn't be "punished" or for forgetting. It just happens. Now, I know both of my parents b-days and my brothers b-day, because I've lived with them for years. When I was with my ex, I had a hard time remembering what her exact b-day was for the couple of years we went out. It was not because I didn't care, it just wasn't drilled into my head yet. I knew around the time it was coming up and I was sure to celebrate it with her. However, when she would ask me out of the blue what day it was, I would get it wrong at times and suffer for days on end. LOL!
As far as sporting events go... I don't know the exact date of the Super Bowl, but I know that a few days leading up to it, there will be something reminding me its coming up. Same thing goes for the World series. For both events I know which months they are, but the EXACT date slips my mind every time.
