    Nyc non resident
    Employer withheld nyc tax. Do not live or work in NY City. How do I file to get refund? I live nad work in NY state.

    You show taxes withheld for NYC by your employer on either line 73 of IT-201 (the long form) or line 47 of IT-150 (the short form). You also show the amount withheld on your IT-2. Since these amounts count along with the NY State withholding are payments already made by you, you are probaby due a good size refund. If you haven't already done so, be sure to talk to your employer to have them STOP withhlding NYC tax.
