    Pressure switch for well
I have a 30-50 pressure switch, The pressure switch was leaking so I changed it, It would cycle from 30-50& work fine for a couple of days and then would shut down after just running washing machine or taking a couple of showers, then I would have to keep resetting pressure switch. So then I replaced pressure switch and same set of problems with new switch still again would have to reset switch cause of same problems, what else could be this issue?
    Thank You

Tell us more about your setup. Bladder or pressure tank? What type of pump?
Doies the system hold pressure when the pump shuts down? Check your gage! Regards, tom

Josh, the switch is designed to shut off the pump if the pressure should drop to some point below the 30# cutin. The switch "assumes" the pump is running dry and cuts it off as a protection measure. This would take a little time, but I would suggest you turn on an outside faucet and spend some time just watching the pressure gauge. It may be that you are pumping the well dry during times of heavy demand, or it might be that the pump struggles to keep up with heavy demand. At any rate, if the pressure drops to 20# (or whatever the protection level will be), you will hear the switch click as it cuts off. That will at least tell you that you have a problem with getting volume from the well.
