Here I sit again. Sad, miserable and confused. I left a man unsuitable for a relationship, after leaving him I felt free and alive, I moved on. Then one silly day I felt a need to send him an email, he responded telling me that he is getting on with his life, he is out dating again. That email has left me feeling crazy and miserable. Why do I care, I left him? Why do I care that he is out dating again? Why oh why did I send him an email, for now I feel like I lost all the progress I made. Am I crazy to have sent him this email and why did I initiate contact.

It happens, do not be so hard on yourself.

Your not crazy, but maybe this guy is just saying that to you to have that reaction in you. Maybe it is true or maybe not. Does not matter. No more contact and just learn that maybe it was not the best idea to send that email. As far as why you initiated contact. I do not know the answer, but something inside of you probably wanted to know how he was doing.

It's possible that you still had some unconscious unanswered questions, so you felt the urge to email him to get some answers. Maybe part of you still had some feelings for him.

Maybe this is what you needed, now that you know that he's moved on, you got some closure.
