Not enough hot water from single handle faucet
I have a single handle kitchen faucet. I have to put the handle completely to left to get some hot water. The double handle faucets in the rest of the house provide an excellent amount of very hot water. This is also the case in the shower which also has a single handle control faucet.
    Thanks for your help

    Hi NeilSimoni...

Shower faucet has built-in anti-scold washer. Remove handle, toss the washer, reinstall handle - and you should have enough hot water. See the pic...

As far as kitchen faucet goes: it seems to me like something is preventing handle to go all the way the left (hot water side). Can you turn handle same distance to the right as to the left ? What brand of faucet is it ?

    Hi Mr Milo Dolezal:
Thank you so much for the help and picture locating the potential problem. Both the kitcheon and shower units are Moen. Another solution to the problem recommended by Rheem, my hot water heater manufacturer is a "plumbing cold water crossover". This seems to make sense since all the other faucets in the house are double handle and plenty of hot water flow through these faucets.
    Regards.

It could also be just some debris caught in your Moen cartridge. Remove the cartridge, clean it, grease it and reinstall. I also always blow out the valve body while the cartridge is removed. Installation Help / Animated Tutorial - Installing the Moen 1225 / 1200 Cartridge

I have a Moen Kitchen faucet that is about 4 years old. Recently, I've noticed when turning on the water by pulling up on the single handle the whole long necked spout lifts and wiggles tremendously. Someone told me to pop out the logo on the faucet and tighten with an allen wrench but that did...

I am changing out the cartridge on a Moen single handle positemp shower faucet. I am wondering what type and how much lubricant I should be using on the cartridge prior to inserting it in the "pipe". The package seems to be concerned about using silicaon lubricant.
