    SUPER heavy period
I am 18 years old. I skiped this month of my birth control. I started my period a week early (which never happens). I have anemia and I am on the second day of my period. It is super heavy, I am having to change my super tampon every 15 minutes or shorter. There is also a lot of blood clots in it. Should I see my doctor or wait it out and see what happens. I am about scared I'm going to bleed to death.

[F] Hi I know this from personal experience and the advice of my own doctor.

When a woman stops taking birth control pills, she usually bleeds much more heavily that month during her period, which may arrive sooner. Spotting is common as well.
Remember when you begin taking the pill? Period was lighter, right? Now, your body is catching up and following a natural "Spring Cleaning" routine. It's a healthy thing!

Likely nothing to worry about - then again - it never hurts to call your doctor and simply ask.
    Take care :)
