The cash sales for the day, in cash register is$8882.32, cash from real sales is $8954.21.

Your register does not show the real position.

    1) DEBIT Cash Account $ 8,954.21
    2) CREDIT Sales Account $ 8,954.21

Being the Sales of the day.
    The register only showed $8,882.32
There was an overpayment of $72.01
The amount is within the bounds of immateriality. 0.8 %
