It is like the worlds crumble upon me.
I am just divorced, with a little daughter of 11 months old to support and having a Master's degree to complete... My ex is just going crazy with his non-stop womanising acts and never care about us... Should I just quit my study and focus on finding a stable job for the sake of my baby... Life is so tough, I want to die at this moment if I could but I cannot let my daughter suffers because of any path that I am going to take... What should I do? I keep blaming of what happened on myself, by marrying a wrong guy at wrong time... I cannot prioritise my study when the child needs the most attention from me during her critical age... I just could not concentrate on my lab work when all in my mind was about her safety, comfort and everything. How hopeless I am!

Can you get assistance from financial aid?

Working full time and working on your Master's will require about the same amount of time away from your child. More often you have more time while you are in school.

I understand that the situation is difficult right now, but continuing your education will reap the greatest rewards for your future.

If you aren't eligible for student aid, what about student loans? How much longer do you have to complete?

No worries, you are on the right path.

Divorce is horrible emotionally draining. It just like wanting to stick your head in the sand until your heart heals. Just take things one day at a time and remember the light at the end of the tunnel is 11 months. Old.

    Good luck and God bless.

Hey hunni, I am also in your shoes with a 2 year old. Im in school also and if you ever need to talk we can talk this out and help eac h other threw this. You do have to remember that the light at the end of the tunnel is your daughter... this is better for her in the long run. You will never be able to give her the life you want her to have without your education... Focus on her and your drive will do the rest. As a mother we don't ever take a step without thinking twice, once for us and once for our children. We may have made a mistake by picking the wrong man, but we can try to improve every step from that point forward by making sure we (as individuals) are strong and happy! Then we are able to guide our children properly.. It won't alwways be this hard... we have to keep telling ourselves that... Stay strong!
