    4th Degree Assault
I live in Kentucky and I was convicted of 4th degree assault back in 2003 against a minor. I hit my 2 daughters with a plastic hanger. I am not a whacko. I am a housewife who at that time was going through some pretty bad and stressful things. The girls were into drugs and being totally rebellious. I know this does not condone what I did and I am fully taking the blame. I just snapped that night.

I have relived this over and over. I am NOT going to blame this on my childhood, but I was in fact, brought up in a physically abusive family. We were hit with whatever.

I am glad that I was punished. It totally humbled me. I have taken parenting classes, psycho classes, anger management classes. I apologized to my girls and life has moved on. The girls hang out with me along with my new grand baby.

Now, it is so hard for me to get a "real job". You would have thought I murdered someone. In fact, I know convicts that have better jobs that I do.

Is it possible to have this removed from my record? I am totally remorseful for my actions, there is no justification for my action. I know it will never happen again.

I really miss NOT going on field trips with my 11 year old son and not being able to get a real job. Please... any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi, Lioness01!

Greetings and WELCOME to the site! I just moved your question that you had posted in Introductions to this forum topic area so that it will get the most exposure to those who are best able to answer it. Introductions is for people to introduce themselves and we try to not ask questions there.

It can be a little confusing when first learning how to use this site! Your question will get noticed much more in this forum topic area.

We would appreciate it if you would return to Introductions sometime to tell us a little about yourself though, if you would be willing to do that.

    Thanks!
