    Being garnished times 3
I am ashamed to say that my husband and I are being garnished. I talked to one creditor who let me make monthly payments instead of taking 25% of my husbands check every week which is almost $200.00 so they said OK, well then there was another one, it was I-tax in mulnomah count for about 3yrs we had to pay taxes to live in Oregon. Stupid in my eyes and everyone else's eyes because they did take that away but I still had to pay so they started to garnish before this garnishment. I called them two and asked if I may make a 200.oo dollar payment and the next month the last $81.00 they said sure. Well the 3rd person that wants to garnish said no way to my suggestion of paying monthly I said our rent is so high and I am dissabled that it would help us greatly do you think they cared? Well NO she said no way. Well I figured it is only a $400.00 garnishment that shouldn't take long then it'll be over. Well I went to check how much money in my bank account yesterday only to find out someone took out on the 27th $100.00 and another $149.00 I called the bank and they said they have no idea who it is till Monday so they can call to see who the levy is for. I am livid I can't pay my mortgage at all I am so afraid.
My question is in Oregon they can only garnish 25% of husbands wages and they can't touch my SSD ck for it is only $400.00 so can they double dip so to speak? Is it leagal? Can they take 25% of his ck and also take $240.00 out of the bank? Thanks I am going nut with worry and I need to know what I can do.any help would be great. I can't fill chapter 7 because I had one in 2004 for medical only but still I had one can I plead hardship in court?

They may take all of the money in a checking or savings accouint, that attachment if not a percent of a pay check,

They can not garnish over 25 percent of the paycheck.

Also even the ones you have agreements with, unless it is in writing, there is no real agreement and they may come in and do the same anytime they want.
