    Dual status? One W2
Hello, here is another dual status question as I couldn't find any posting that resembled my situation. I am working for a US company and I spent the first 7 months of 2008 working on H1 in Massachusetts. In August I moved to Ghana working for the same employer and have been here since then. Since my employer and job didn't change I received one W2 form. Starting January 2009 my employer stopped withholding taxes but I am not sure how to file my taxes for 2008. Any advice will be appreciated!

You are correct about filing dual-status. The income earned while in Ghana is NOT subject to U.S. income taxes, so, hopefully, you prorated the income off your W-2.
