How to get my dog to gain a little weight
:p Okay here is the thing.. I have a husky and she is 2 yrs old and weighs 70lbs.. Now I know she is the right weight and my vets always tell me that she is fine but I want her to be at least 85lbs.. She is my baby and I kind of want her to be a little bigger than what she really is suppose to! I know its unhealthy for a dog to be over weight but I just want her to be a little chunky! I tryd feeding her deer meat, reg meat, rice, noodles, human food and she just won't gain a little!. Does any one have advice to help make her gain a couple pounds? :o.. I even keep her food bowl full like I always used to be!. She was chunky when she was younger!. can some one give me some advice?

Well, what is the actual reason you want her to 'look junkier' and over her normal weight? If you love her then keep her at her normal weight so she will be with you longer.
First of all, you may be feeding her foods that may do her harm in the long run, as in too much cholesterol.
If she isn't willing to eat more then she needs, then I don't know what you can do. You certainly can't start feeding her fatty foods, that would not be good for her.

Okay maybe it came out wrong.. Its not like I feed her human food every day.. I'll save some food and feed her once a week or every 2 weeks.. and there is no main reason I want her to gain weight.. She was always chunky until she turned a year old, I guess I thought she would always be like that! She has been healthy all her life.. Idk, she's my baby .. I usually feed her Pedigree but I switched her to Black Gold Dog Food thinking she would gain a little.. Dn't take me the wrong way!

Why are you even worried about her weight? As long as the Vet is not worried, you should be content. At 2 years old, she is just entering the prime of her life and will maintain her working weight until she gets older and then it will probably be a battle to keep her weight down. You are doing yourself a disservice with your attitude.

Never keep a dog overweight, even by a little. Havning your dog in peak physical condition will prolonge their life and prevent diseases.
If you want to 'bulk her up' try running her to build some muscle tone.

You want to put 15 lbs on your dog that is like you putting 75-100 lbs on yourself. Extend your dogs life ad leave her trim.
