From the 60 minute interview...
The Kroft quote was:
“You're sitting here. And you're— you are laughing. You are laughing about some of these problems. Are people going to look at this and say, 'I mean, he's sitting there just making jokes about money—' How do you deal with— I mean: explain.. .
“Are you punch-drunk?”
End quote.
Obama came back with such a great communicator line, so intelligent, so brilliant we are told by liberals that he has a halo this messiah in, “No, no. There's gotta be a little gallows humor to get you through the day,” Obama said laughing again.
Gallows humor? This in a serious interview? I guess he just fell out of bed on his head or thought that the words gallows humor was cute?
And this is the President of the United States speaking? I certainly don't take a person of this ilk seriously.

Hello again:
I remember a time when I looked in the mirror, and didn't believe I would ever get old...
At around that same time, my country made promises to spend money that it didn't have and couldn't sustain. Like me, they didn't believe the bill would ever come due.
Guess what?
The wolf is at the door, and yes, I'm old. Some people, more than likely the ones who brought us here, don't want to believe the wolf is here yet. In fact, like me, they don't believe the wolf will EVER be at the door...
I guess they failed at math.
So, since the wolf is at the door, some fixing is in order... Because we waited SOOOO long, the fix is going to be BIGGGGER.
You're right. I DIDN'T fail at math. Fortunately for the country, Obama didn't either..
So there's some INVESTING needing to be done... Now, you can invest in one of TWO ways. One way will produce a return on your investment. The other way will cause you to go broke.
I'm still waiting to see how the big fix works itself out.
Yeah, I don't know what will work. You don't either. But, pretending the wolf ISN'T at the door ISN'T an answer.

Total government spending as a percentage of GDP will rise to a 24.5 % by 2019 under Obama's budget proposals and you are defending it as a cure to overspending??

Ex and Obama learned a different kind of math than us. Maybe they can do better with pictures, like this one on Obama's deficits?

Hello again,
You're not going to scare me with your pichas and graphs. Rush Limprod may be impressed with them.. I'm not.
I told you it was going to be big. Surprise, surprise - it is.
But, like all those before you, you don't really want to discuss the 800 lb gorilla in the room. I understand... It's easier to be in denial.

According to Robert Freeman, a Bush deficit of $565 billion WAS the 800 lb gorilla in the room, the Deficit Death Spiral. A $1.85 Trillion dollar deficit - for this year alone - sure seems like a pretty darn big gorilla to me.

Say koolaid sipper, if this is such a great thing to spend, spend, spend. Why is it that the leaders of the socialist nations of France, and Germany are telling Nobama that his plans are one big mistake? In a real democratic society we need to let these companies fail. No one bailed out the little service station operator I used to work for years ago when he mismanaged his money. Why do we need to do it for the fat heads in NewYork and Washington?

Hello again, 450:
We're not talking about a bailout here. THAT was chump change compared to the budget.
We're talking about reforming health care before it bankrupts us, reforming Medicare and Medicaid before they bankrupt us, and reforming energy before we run out of oil.
Those aren't little problems. But they ARE problems that Obama is going to FIX. The fix isn't going to be little. It's cause it's broken real bad - REAL BAD. But, it's an INVESTMENT, not an expense... Investments produce returns. Expenses don't.
I have some charts too, that show if we don't fix these things, we'll go broke SOONER.

I don't think the huge AIG bonuses are laugh material considering the money comes from the US Taxpayer's pockets.
Oh yes you did twink. You posted this a few days ago.
Ever wonder why he's not spending much time in the WH lately? Because he'll probably have to do something that takes brains and we all know that he doesn't posess anything near the capacity it takes to be the POTUS. Never has, never will.
And being a colossal bore is just the beginning folks. He's guaranteed to get worse as the time goes on.
Loved Arnold's comment about him when he was in California the other day. Apparently anyone that comes laden down with bags of money is "beautiful" to him. Sure, and Arnold I believe is a racist. He just likes the green in O's briefcase with Arnold's name on it. What a fake Arnold is. But he does not even hold a candle to the real faker.
His wife is worse. She hasn't the faintest clue how to properly dress herself. I just love her fashion sense. Wear black as much as possible. And wear wigs that look like wigs.
