    Dismiss charges
If the DA has not filed charges on a Felony Vandalism charge against me before my court date, does that mean that there is a good chance that the charges will be dismissed?

There would not be a court date, if you did not have charges already filed. Can you be more specific as to what hearing, are there other charges, what is this court date for ?

I was arrested for vandalism and I was bailed out... I was scheduled to appear in court, when I showed up, I was not on the calandar... the court clerk told me that the reason why I was not on the calendar is because the DA had not formerly charged me for the crime. The clerk said that Iwas to return back to court 14 days later, and if I was not on calendar then, that there may be a possibility that the charges that I was arrested for may be dropped or the DA could charge me within 3 years of the arrest date.

So my question is, " Has this happened to anyone out there? Wonder if the charges may be dismissed...

    Hello mac:

It happens all the time. The cops arrest - the DA doesn't press charges. With NO charges, dismisal doesn't enter to it.
