Do They Make CPVC Nipples - Or Maybe Another Solution
    Hi all,

I have a second question about the plumbing in my bathroom remodel... I figured since it was a completely different questions, I should start a new thread...

I am installing a Danze hand held shower head... It has a wall mounted 90 degree angle connection... I am using all CPVC for my supply lines...

The Danze fitting is a female threaded copper fitting... The problem is that the fitting is probably 1 1/4 inches deep before you get to the actual threads... A standard male threaded CPVC fitting is too shallow to reach the threads... I hope that makes sense...

I was thinking that a CPVC nipple would work... I could cut the threads off the once end and glue it into the supply line and then the Danze fitting would have plenty of room to slide over the nipple and make connection with the threads on the nipple...

Is this a good solution?? Or, is there a better/more obvious solution to be had??

    Thanks again everyone!!

You could use a brass nipple or chrome nipple.

On the CPVC side use a male adapter (male threads)

Then use a coupling to connect. That connection is stronger. Using male threads on the CPVC side.

What shut off valve is vest for cpvc and pvc? The typical ball valves at home depot and Lowe's seem to cut down the water flow because the center opening is smaller then the ID of the pvc/cpvc pipe. So a 3/4 inch pipe has less flow after going through the valve. I am going to replace my...
