Pressure switch
I have a drilled well with a submersible pump. It will not switch on, the switch is a 30/50, witch is new. I checked the air pressure and it is at 28lbs. I also tried adjusting the switch pressure up and down but the pump still won't kick on. What else should I check? Thanks

Have you checked the voltage? Do you have 220 volts going to the motor? Have you used a plastic or wooden rod to close the contacts and see if the pump starts? Why did you replace the control box in the first place? Let me know, Tom

Need to check voltages as speed suggested. We need to know if you are getting power into and out of the press switch. If you are getting power in and out of switch, then you will need to look at control box next.

Might sound a little elementary, but make sure the breaker is on. When you changed the switch, you might have left it off.

I did check the voltage and it was fine. Come to find out the bladder tank was bad. It seems to be working OK now, it just needs a little fine tuning. Thanks for your help

Just curious... how would a faulty pressure tank prevent the pump from cutting on? You turn on water, the pressure goes down, the switch kicks on, the pump starts pumping. Anyone have an idea how the tank would affect that?

Nope, the tank would affect performance of pump, but not make it not come on at all. This is a new one on me.
