    Pressure tank size
I have a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom home, with a 16 zone sprinkler system. 6 heads on a zone. How big of a pressure tank should I have. My old one went out which was a 60 gallon and got replaced with 40 gallon one. Will it handle my needs?

While it may handle it your pump will run more often trying to keep up

I would never down-size. I would suggest to keep it the same size...

I agree with the above two ONLY if both tanks are bladder tanks. If the old tank was a conventional 60 gallon tank with no bladder, then you actually helped yourself going to a 40 gallon bladder tank.
