I wanted to know what size drywell I should install for a busy sump pump in a clay filled yard? Also how far from the house should it be? Would I be better off making my own or buying a pre made well (pros and cons)?

How busy is it in gallons per hour? Is there a layer of clay that you can get under or is the entire area clay?Cheers, Tom

The enire area is all clay (as deep as you can go). During a heavy rain I can pump as much as 15 cycles an hour (60 gals.) Normally I get roughly 15 to 20 gals per hour

If you have clay that won't percolate would it be possible to discharge into the city sewer if that's what you have? Regards, tom

I was afraid that mihht be the case. I have a septic system. We do have a 12ft deep cement dry well that has a pump that dispels everything out to the middle of the yard. I thought about running the sump discharge to that. The only issue is that I would have to somehow run the pipe under my 15ft. Wide cement porch? Any suggestions how to do that with out tearing up the porch?

Only 15 feet? I would jet the line under the porch. If you have a septic system then the ground must be able to let the water drain into the soil some what.
You could perhaps dig in a dreain field from the dry well. But I think your best bet would be the 12ft deep cement dry well that has a pump that dispels everything out to the middle of the yard. Good luck, Tom
