I lived in Brooklyn, NY from January - May of 2008. I was out of the country from May - December making no income. Do I file my NY State tax return as a full-time resident? Or do I fill out a part-time resident form? Thanks for your help!

All right, so I have to fill out two state forms (a non resident for NY because I lived there for 3 months, and a part time resident for NJ since I currently live here). If I lived in NY for 3 months but did not make any income there during that time, what exactly do I have to fill out on the form?...

I am an Indian national. I came to the U.S in Aug 2004 on an F1 visa. I converted to OPT status on February 13, 2006 and earned substatntial income on this status. My status convered to H1-B valid from 1st October,2006. Do I file dual-status taxes? - does this mean I still get the 4850$...
