No water in one restroom
What could be wrong if in my downstairs restroom there is no water in the sink nor bottom toilet? The laundry room across the hall is okay and the kitchen sink runs fine. Just no water in myhalf bath. Any suggestions?

Are both hot and cold affected? Have you done recent plumbing work or installed any new fixtures?

It has affected both hot and cold. Just no water at all. Also, I have not installed new water fixtures. It is very odd since it has not affected my laundry room and kitchen faucets.

Hi all:
I would start by removing the aerator (clockwise) at the end of the faucet... see picture.
Clean the aerator and try the water... If water is present, replace the aerator after cleaning and the sink should be all set.
Then you will need to clean the fill-valve at the toilet which we can discuss after you describe what the inside of your tank looks like... OK?
I'm thinking some gunk got caught up in the cold water and plugged the toilet and the sink... ;)
Let us know what you find...

Something tells me that it is some main line that goes to both the sink and toilet, because the tank won't fill and when I turn the water on in the sink nothing comes out..?

Re: post 5, this would not affect your hot water, that's an entirely separate line. Do check the aerator, run the water with it removed and come back to us.

Will do. I will follow up tomorrow. I have two other bathrooms in the house that are fine and can be used. Thank you for info and will try what's recommended.

Is it really cold outside? Could be frozen lines for that one bathroom.

2nd Floor, Floor drain backing up with water in restroom
[ 1 Answers ]
I have a second floor restroom at my workplace and there is a little bit of water backing up and some sewer gas smell. There is rarely anything that goes down that drain but there is a little water in it that I can see. Also it seems that the urinals in the same restroom are draining very slowly....
