    Divorce and how to buy out the x
    My sister and husband owe $157,000 on their home. My sister wants to keep the house. The house is valued at $315,000. How much money does she need to buy out her husband?

    50% of the difference between what is owed and the home's value plus the amount owed to the bank. Assuming it is a straight split. Ultimately, whatever the divorce agreement says.
