Suspected wife; was it too much?
Hello folks, hope you are all well.

I've been married to a wonderful woman for 1.5 years
And we have a little girl she's 19 months atm. I became
Selfish and emotionally distant to my wife and she couldn't
Take it anymore so we separated. We still hung out and got
Along and even talked about reconciliation one day after
She's got herself figured out. She just needs some time etc
etc. I'm sure you know how it goes. Well I wanted to be
Understanding and loving to my wife so I said I'll be here
And that if she ever needs anything, to not be afraid to
Let me know or come by if she needs anyone to talk to etc.
So we hit things off really well despite the situation..
Well things took a bad turn.
I caught her lying to me one night about where she was.
And she came up with a really silly answer for why she did
It. "I was at a friend's house smoking and didn't want you
knowing cause I told you I would quit."
First of all, I didn't care so I don't know why she felt she
Had to lie. Secondly, she had to have known how that looked.
So later in the week I was on the phone with her on my work
Break and she sounded really quiet on the phone and said she
Was sitting in a bathroom where she worked out and that they
Were closing at the moment. After about 15 min on the phone
I told her she better get out of the bathroom and stuff or they're
Going to close her in the building lol.. Well since she had lied
To me already a couple nights before I became very suspicous.
When we got off the phone I was pretty ticked off and called
The fitness center to see if she had signed in that night.
They said she wasn't signed in and nobody had seen her.
    ----
When I look back at it now, I know just how stupid that looked on
My part but at the time I felt like I was doing what anyone would
Have done when their spouse was acting so suspicously.
In a way I wanted to protect myself and my daughter from
Whatever the heck my wife was hiding from me. I've known of
People being cheated on and given STDs and stuff. I never
Actually accused her of cheating but she knew what I was
    Looking for.

So would that be considered stalking by me calling that place like that?

No that is not stalking. You called and asked, they answered.

The real question is, what are you going to do to find out why your wife is playing games with you?

At this point, with her parents thinking I need medication because
Of that, I'm just backing off and letting time have it's affect. I can
Only show my wife and daughter as much love as I can with her
Being away from home. I just feel that it's healthy to back off and
Let her do her thing and she might come around one day.
I don't think she'd do something as stupid as cheat on her husband
But even if she is, she's only 21 and by the time this is all over she
May not feel the same way in a few years. I know that when I was 21
There was a lot of things I did that I wouldn't do now.

    Thanks for the response. :)
