    Finding a Spiritual Guide
How does a person find a spiritual guide?

(one who doesn't ask for money in exchange for service)

I don't know what you mean 'in exchange for service'. I have never run across that sort of arrangement. There are many charlatans out there though. What do you need a spirit guide for? First you have to find someone who has a spirit guide... in their neighbourhood.

Spirit guide can be interpreted in so many ways. Are you wanting to find your spirit guide? (because I guarantee you; you have them already and just are not receiving them or their frequency) and everyone has spirit guides and they can come to you so many ways and usually to most people it would be like an inner calling or positive reinforced voice in your head. To be ready you should be prepared to accept only creative and imaginative avenues and most important... a leap of faith. Believing without discouragement and without a doubt and that you are NOT crazy.

For spiritual guidance and to find a mentor there are many churches revolving around mediumship/psychic abilities and spiritual awareness. Since we don't know where you are it would be best to look into your community and find it. Unlike other Churches there is a small and affordable membership fee and some courses do cost money but they are not unreasonable. You will find it much more beneficial and the money is given to the church and its charities in support of the community or being given back to the community (since it is mostly humanitarians that attend). Even most religions you donate money to the church for services on Sunday... the church never asks for a specific amount or membership fees (only what you can give) and besides... this type of church you might be looking for isn't your regular church, its support, group effort, personal growth (emotionally and spiritually), strength, awareness, healing, rebirth, awakening, abilities (in clairvoyance, mediumship... etc.) and affirmation. Strong words and powerful results but if you are passionate you will make the commitment and see if it is in your best interest and again "it is extremely affordable".
