How to get my bank account unfrozen?
Well I have a messed up situation here. I used to live in Florida and the state of ny sent the child support case to Florida. I used to be in arrears but I have since caught up and the little that I do owe will be paid off in the plan that I made with ny. But I have moved to va now and I have my payment plan with ny and Florida was suppose to drop their order against me. Well they haven't and have froze my bank account. I do not know what to do it is the weekend and now I'm flat broke cause I don't have access to my money because of Florida not dropping their order against me when they were instructed to do by ny. I have a couple questions here how in the hell can they take my money when neither the mother nor I live in Florida? And ny told them to drop the order why wouldn't they do it then? What do I need to do so I can have my money to support the children that do live with me?

You will have to most likely get an attorney who will need to send proof that VA is handling the case, And proof you are not behind to Florida. Expect it to take a bit to clear it up

Did you try calling Florida ? Also its not up to NY to dictate to Florida. If they passed it to Florida then until Florida decides to give it up they hold it. You need to call Florida and find out what's going on. Do you have a case number from them and one from NY that your working with ? It sounds like your stuck in procedure.

You "used to be in arrears but have since caught up" BUT "the little that you do owe will paid off in a plan you made with NY"?

You either are caught up and don't owe any child support or you are NOT caught up and DO owe child support. Which is it?

I don't understand why the case was transferred to Florida if neither you nor the mother lives in Florida. At any rate, if it's been transferred to Florida, Florida has to straighten it out.
