Shower in basement of new home.
I am adding a shower in the basement but when I poured water down the drain it is plugged. What could be the problem?

Need a bit more history on the drain. Where in relation to the main line?

    Who put that line in?

    Did you do the plumbing?

How far along is the putting in the 'Shower"

    What size pipe is it?

Is there anything else on that drain line?

How long has the line been there?

Answer Boats questions and I have a few of my own.

What drain are you referring to? Is there a "P" trap already installed? What type of shower will it be? Custom tile? Manufactured base and enclosure or simply a mixing valve and shower head installed over a floor drain? Let us know. Tom
