I'd like to know how your mom has changed. How old is she? I go semi-wacko one week every month due to hormones. Perhaps mom needs a well-woman check-up..

Or maybe she was like this before, but you didn't notice because you adore her. Now that you've grown up some, the quirks are more evident? I wish you well... let us know.

Well she is almost 44 years age but looks older than her age. Well the main problem is that I get effected from her attitude I mean I am a 12th grade student and there are my final exams in just 7 weeks and I need to concentrate on studies although my mother has no interest in that I need concentration she also treats me in such a way that it makes me think about her all the time and then I could not concentrate on my studies.

    Hi again, Hi, quratulain!

Would it be possible for you to study somewhere else where you wouldn't be around her, like maybe at the home of a friend or at a library?

    Thanks!

Perhaps you just try and study, sorry but unless she is standing over you talking, learning to study and getting and making your own study habits are important.

Also often it is not always the parent changing ( but does happen( but it is the over all relationship that changes as a child become order and one can not take back or change things that happened in the past.

How about sitting down with your mom and speaking with her about how you feel and think now, quratulain? Would there be a problem with you doing that? If so, what would it be, please?

    Thanks!

Yes there would be as she does not behaves as a normal mother, she would not like to even consider to talk to me as I have tried numerous times. That is why I am writing this problem.

Are there any other relatives outside of your immediate family with whom it would be possible for you to speak with about this problem and your concerns?

    Thanks!

The main problem why I am writing this that I want to tell someone when she is like this, she would not even consider to talk to me,that is the main problem .
I think that now the relashionship is not what it was alas indeed it is.

This is the answer to post #10 of Clough:
As you said that I should try to sit with my mom and talk to her and tell her how I feel or to discuss the situation, well that is a good advice and I acted according to it... I kept positive and talked to her when no one was at home, but she would not open up and would react to my queation as if I had insulted her (my father has also reported this reaction of her but ignores becoz he has friends from which he is happy, whoever is a bit close to her has reported this behaviour of her, but I cannot ignore it I have to live with her all the time)she starts taunting me as if I like myself to be taunted, she would not change.so today I talked to her like this"mom please try to be positive and lets have a good talk" but she reacted and taunted me... and the relationship could go no better...
