    Child Support
What is the statue of limitations in New Mexico for getting a court order for child support and collecting back child support? CSE never established a court order during the time they had the case open. The child was emancipated at the age of 16. The child's father signed paternity papers at the time of birth. The child is now the age of 21. Just want to see if I can get from the father what is rightfully due.

No it has been over 5 years, since it would have ended at time of emancipated. Also no there is nothing "rightfully due" since there was never a court order. To be due, there had to first be a court order.

Why now do you want or think they should pay, since for 16 years you did not ? Sorry you may no longer file
