    Need my name off house deed
    I am not on our mortgage to the home but my name is on the deed. Since my name is on the deed can I remove it without being tied to the current home finacially? We are separating and I have personal property in my name that I would not want a lien on if something happened to this home. I do not want a buyout or anything, just want to walk away with nothing following me years later.

    Fill out a quick claim deed to your wife for the amount of $1 . File it at county Clerk and Recorder. Filing fee varies
