    Civil summons
    How do you respond to a civil summons sent by a lawyer due to unpaid credit card debt? If you can't afford a lawyer, should you try to make some type of payment plan with the lawyer or the company represented by the lawyer?

    File notice with the court you intend to defend and demand strick proof of their alleged claim. Send the attoreny the same thing you send the court.
