Take her to the vet and have her checked. They need to get her on medication!

If trips to the vet really upset her, you can just call the vet to let them know that you'd like to drop of a stool sample to be checked for worms. This will spare her the stress of a trip in. Once they know what kind of worms you're dealing with you can pick up the meds and give them to your dog.

It's a good idea to have stool samples checked periodically to prevent worm infestations from going unchecked for too long. If you take your little girl in, or just if you call, you might want to ask how often your vet recommends this be done.

Please don't try non-prescription wormer. They aren't safe and you need to get her on the medication that will eliminate the kind of worms she has.

If the worms you are looking at appear to be like grains of rice, then you are likely dealing with tapeworms which can easily be picked up through fleas or other sources. Does your dog have any flea problems? If so then you want to clear up the infestation as well or they may return.

If the worms appear to look like strings of spaghetti then it is more likely to be roundworms.

Vaccinations will not help with the prevention or treatment of any type of worm. Akoue's suggestion is best. Take your vet a stool sample, no matter how unpleasant it may be if you cannot bring the dog in itself. Over the counter wormers are often unsafe or ineffective. The best thing to do is get a vet prescribed wormer so that you know the problem will be safely and effectively taken care of.

What sort of vaccinations did your pup have? Puppies have their booster shots at certain ages but it doesn't protect against worms. You need to find out if it has been given any worming tablets by your vet and if not pick some up from either your vet or your local pet store.
