2005 honda civic can't change gears
Hi everyone! My sister has a 2005 honda civic (auto transmission). It's been sitting in the garage for about 3 months or so. The battery is dead. We tried to put it in neutral so we can push it out of the garage and jump it, but it won't shift from park to neutral. Is there an shift lock override button or something or what can I do?Please help!! :o

Most cars today require the brake pedal to be pressed when shifting from park. With a dead battery the interlock can't operate. Charge the battery first.

Check next to your sifter, do you see a place to insert a key? If so insert the key their and you can shift it with it dead.
