I agree. I also know that most students have more than one problem to solve. You talk them through the solution pattern once and they can figure out the rest. Refusing to help them doesn't do much to advance their education. I don't believe that most posters simply want to get it done fast so they can party. I think that most want to understand the process.
I remember very well, when I was in junior high school. I had a teacher who refused to explain to me *how* something was done. It took over a year until I found a teacher who simply showed me how to do one problem. It was so obvious -- once I had been shown how to do it -- that from then on, I didn't need any more help.
