I need to know what violation of probation "in lieu of" means
I am getting my probation revoked, and I do not understand why. The PD said "in lieu of" what does that mean exactly?

    Hello d:

In lieu of means in place of... So, they're violating your probation in place of doing something else - like maybe filing new charges.

So if they are violating me in lieu of giving me new charges, then can I fight this?

So when I go to court for this violation of probation "in lieu of" what will happen at the hearing? Will I have a chance to fight it? Or does the judge just sentence me?

Violation of Probation "in lieu of"
I need to know what is going to happen in court when I go see the judge for this violation of probation in lieu of. Will I be able to fight this? Or do I get a chance to defend myself for the violation? Can the judge reinstate my probation?

Of course you can present your side of the evidence. But of course they may arrest you and hold you till the probation hearing.

But at the hearing you can present your evidence to show you did not violate your probation for doing what they care claiming.
