    Asbestose wire
I was working on my house (built around the 1950 or later) and noticed the wiring , I was wondering the chances that it may conatin asbestose.
I actually can see the following.
Paranite non metallic shielded cable 600 volt, the cables outer casing feels greasy to the touch and is black made of some sort of braid, the inner part has a black and white wire covered in a what appears a modern day rubber or plastic type wrap.
    Thank You for any help
