I recently joined a Dating Site and have received lots and lots of emails off younger men.

I am 40 and I do have my picture on there, and all my life have been told I look a lot younger, the men are aged between 18, 24, 30, so can someone please tell what it is, I have my ideas like maybe they think because I am forty she must be desperate so she will be an easy target for sex. What they don't realise is that now I'm forty I am more fussy, and have always had good looking men, oh and by the way I didn't fancy any of them!

Can you state in your profile that you'd only like responses from men in a certain age group? That might be helpful, if you haven't. Just ignore the guys you think are fishing around for easy sex, or block them. With that said, some of these guys could be really decent- there's nothing wrong with going a bit younger now and then! :) Good luck!

Regardless whether if you state your age in your profile somebody that you don't want to hear from is going try to get to you.

Some young guys like older women just like some women like older men. It been going on for years. Even though you stated your age they like what they see and that's called attraction. Some people feel that someone older is more mature and less likely to play games than someone around their age. Take the singer Usher for an example. His wife is older than him and he's known for liking older women.

So if you like than don't let the age be a problem for you at least taking a chance.

Yes I did state my age in my profile and also stated what age range I wanted the men to be.

Thank you for your response, it was really helpful and like you say what is wrong with going a bit younger!;)
