Because of My Facebook status this guy in my english class began to talk to me... we ended up talking for like 2 hours. Then we exchanged numbers and texted for another 2 hours... for the next few days I was addicted to my phone and just couldn't stop talking to him. Then one night he said "we can be more than friends if u want to" I said yes, but then he said not to tell ANYONE because he hates answering questions... so I didn't... then we set a date to go for a walk... then he broke our date (apparently he had tennis) then 2 days later he said his friends didn't approve (how they found out idk) and he had decided to break up with me... I was grief striken... no one could help me... I told him a week later I missed him... but he said he wanted to be friends... we are... but I still want him back... any ideas??

Yeah you should move on. First off, the fact that he doesn't want anyone else to know is one of the dumbest things I've heard of. I would stop all contact with him or you will start to look desperate, and that's a turnoff for a guy. There are other fish in the sea. You can do better.

Stop being friends with him because your only causing more emotionally pain for yourself and living on false hope that he would one day change his mind. His mind is made up well maybe his friends made it up for him.

If this guy does everything that his friends tell him and date girls only with his friends approval than he is very weak. You don't need nor should you want a weak man but instead you should want one with a backbone.

Once he told you to keep with your do a secret and starting breaking plans you should've left him alone because these are flashing red neon flags that shouln't have been ignore. Don't ever put your feelings aside and settle for someone just because you want someone because in the long run you only get burnt.

We live and we learn so this brief encounter should be a lesson for you and hopefully not repeated in the future.

Just be glad this didn't go any further, let him go. That is a pretty crap excuse for not wanting to be with you. Move on
