What are my options to try to get money owed to me?
I worked for a tutoring company in the state of California. The company stated in writing that it owes me $10,000. Now the company has not paid me and has not responded to emails or phone calls. The company is registered as a corporation in the state of Califonia and does business with Los Angeles Unified School District. What options do I have to receive my money other than small claims court?

If they refuse to pay you your only choice is to sue - you might try Wage and Hour (or whatever is similar in California) but they move very slowly.
