    70's or 80's animation that has been bugging me for years!
    OK,

    This is a real long shot but here goes. As a kid I vaguely remember my mum bringing a cartoon or cartoon movie (I'm not entirely sure which) back from the video store. I only have very sketchy details about it. All I remember was that it had a scene where a kind of knight with a ridiculously long pointed face mask is running up a spiral staircase on the outside of a tower and if I recall he was blue and carrying a gun. At the top he bursts into a room where a red (I think) knight who looks the same is waiting, also armed with a gun. One shoots the other. Another scene involves a battle with gnomes/dwarves (not sure who against. Anyhow the little people seemed to have lost and are lying around dying and blood runs towards the screen. I remember it being pretty violent and surreal. I'd love to know what it was (if only to ensure that if I have kids I don't let them see it! )

    Never mind, after hours of trawling the 1970 - 1979 movie section of Amazon, I found it. I'm almost dissapointed the search is over!

    Just in case it's got anyone else scratching their heads. It's called Wizards and it was made 1977 and I was definitely too young to watch it from what I've seen so far!
