    Hcg levels: down then back up
    So I went in for my ultrasound today and they said there was no sign of pregnancy so the bleeding must have been an early miscarriage. They looked at my ovaries and tubes and did not see the baby in there. They said everything looked normal but they sent me for another blood test. So this is where it gets weird. Last Tuesday my level was 47 (my husband thought they said 74 but that was wrong). Friday my level went down to 42. Then today my level went back up to 51. I am not sure what this means but I have to go back Thursday and get more blood drawn. She wants to see if my levels are going to drop off. They did not see a tubal pregnancy so what could the rising and falling numbers mean?

    I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. More than likely it is your body readjusting to having had the miscarriage. You might see some fluctuation for a few weeks.
