Cost to replace old uninsulated ducts in crawlspace
Hi. I bought a house built in 1930. There is a crawlspace that you can stand straight up in about half of it. The crawlspace is about 1700 sq feet. I don't know how old the duct work is but I have been recommended by a couple people to replace it with the new flexible insulated type. I have noticed the house never really warms up, even though the furnace is constantly going. They mentioned it is because the ducts in the cold crawlspace don't ever warm up, especially the ones furthest from the furnace. I have done some insulation already and it didn't seem to help that much.

Makes sense.. so now I am wondering how much it would cost. There are 10 vents I would need to replace the metal ducting with the flexible ducting, along with the main vent.

You need to get estimates from 2 or 3 local contracters, as the materal and labor varies from area to area,, the flex works pretty good as long as its put in right and the crawl space is very tight so outside pets and animals can`t get in ,as they will cut and distroy the insulation
